Friends Programs

Primary to our mission is the support of ongoing programs for children and adults. These programs include:

Museum Passes

Pass admits up to 4 people at $8.00 per person. Parking for an additional fee.

This pass entitles bearer to free parking for 1 vehicle at over 50 facilities in the MA State Parks System. For information on state parks visit: http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/dcr/massparks/

The Danforth will be closed for several months as they move to a new location. We will not be checking out the pass during this time. Please see the Danforth’s website for updates: http://www.danforthart.org. Pass allows one person or family group admission at no charge. Not valid for special events.

The pass is sponsored by the Middlesex Savings Bank and admits three people to both the Childrens’ Discovery Museum and the Science Discovery Museum at the following prices:  Adults and Children= $7.25  Seniors= $6.75
Children under 1= free.

Regular Admission Prices:
Adults=$14.50, Seniors=$13.50, Children=$12.50 Children under 1=Free. The Childrens’ Discovery Museum is open daily 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and the Science Discovery Museum is open daily 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Both museums are open and free every Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This pass admits up to 4 people. Adults=50% discount on admission. Children=$1

This pass admits three adults at no charge.

Pass admits 2 adults, for general admission at $10.00 per person. Parking for an additional fee. Admission for children is free except during school hours when there is a $7.50 fee for ages 7-17.

Pass admits up to 4 people at $10.00 per person. Parking for an additional fee. This is a general admission pass and does not include admission to the Omni Theater, Planetarium, or Laser Show.

These passes admit up to 4 visitors at $10.00 per visitor.  Admission to IMAX Theatre and parking is extra. This pass is only valid from September through June.

Building 22, Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, MA 02129. Two passes available that admit parties of 9 or fewer for free admission.

Discounted tickets are made available for evening performances through the library pass program, sponsored by the Boston Parents’ Paper. With your Massachusetts library card you are offered one free ticket for each ticket you purchase at the regular price. Reserve in advance and present your library card at the box office on the day of attendance. Call the Box Office at 617-879-2300 to reserve your tickets, and let them know you have a library card good for the evening performance BOGO (Buy One Get One).

The Friends are always looking for more people to help with our events and activities. If you would like to learn more about our group, you can drop in on one of our monthly meetings or email the President of the Friends of the Ashland Library.

The Executive Board of the Friends generally meets the fourth Thursday of each month. The public is welcome. To confirm the meeting schedule and location, please call the Library at 508-881-0134.
