Volunteer
There are many ways for you to volunteer for the Friends of the Ashland Public Library!
Please email the President of the Friends of the Ashland Library to volunteer for one of the programs below.
Book and Cupcake Sales
We need folks to help set up on the prior two evenings for our three annual book sales (first Saturday in March, opening day of the Farmers’ Market in June, and first Saturday in December), or bake cupcakes for the day of the sale, or help sell books or cupcakes. We have a team of volunteers who help sort donated books, but we can always use more hands.
Fun Run Around the Town
This is a big event each October and we can always use more help planning and implementing.
Candidates’ Forums
We hold these each May, and have planning tasks as well as day of event tasks.
Summer Reading Program
This is a committee that does outreach in March through June for community contributions, and supports the library staff throughout the summer to ensure materials and related programming needs are met.
Grant Writing
This is how we fund many of our programs and we sure could use another person to train so we can meet deadlines with proposals that are compelling.
Membership, Corporate Membership, Star Parties, Art in the Library, Adult Art Programming, Friday Night Films, Documentary Film and Discussion Series, Early Release Day Programs, Young Families
These committees are all manned sufficiently, but we would gladly accept more help if they interest you.
